Just earlier today received an email worth publishing, check it out:
John,
I’m not naive enough to think a product like an energy gel is going to make me run ridiculously fast times. I’m a scientist in my career and extremely critical of over-the-top claims. I’m also very tuned to how my body reacts during running races. All of my training up tell now told me that a realistic time in my half marathon today would have been 1:34, just off my PB of 1:33:25. I have a marathon coming up and didn’t want this race to burn me out, but was planning on putting Chocolate#9 to the test. These shorter distances don’t require I drink much at all, I had 500ml of a Vegan Energy drink with me and two GELS, one of your GELS I took 10min before the start, the 2nd at 10K in. I know they made a difference because I had a lot of energy throughout, at one point a ridiculous amount of energy and this was at about 15-16KM. Your GELS work, I recommend them 100%. I shouldn’t have attained a PB today, but I did and I know your product is, in part, a reason for this. I only beat my PB by 1min, but I wasn’t giving 100% and finished feeling I could easily run another 10K. The marathon will be another test. I hope chocolate#9 is around for years to come!
